Movement:

Smashmuck isn’t your typical battle arena. There’s no “point, click, and wait” here. Want to run around the enemy? Sure. Want to dodge enemy attacks? We got you covered. Like to jump over trenches of lava like a madman? Welcome to the club.

Smashmuck’s movement controls involve using the arrow keys to move up, down, left, right, and all diagonals. Players can use either the standard W, A, S, and D or the arrow keys. These keys can be remapped in the Options Menu.

Smashmuck Champions can jump with the Spacebar by default. Champions can jump chasms or up ledges. Players can even jump on another Champion’s to get to places normally inaccessible.

Basic Attacks:

Players make Basic Attacks by clicking the left mouse button in the direction of their target. This will cause the champion to face that direction and make their attack. Players can hold down the mouse button to continue making attacks.

Moving and Attacking:

  • When a moving champion makes Basic Melee Attacks, the champion will always attack in the direction it moves, rather than the direction of the cursor.
  • When a moving champion makes Basic Ranged Attacks, the champion will stop and face in the direction of the cursor.
Skills:

Each Champion has unique set of 3 Skills. Skills are powerful actions that can be used to perform a variety of effects.

Selecting Skills:

Champions have only one Skillselected at a given time. Players can change the selected Skill by using the mouse scroll wheel or by pressing the 1, 2, or 3 keys. Players can view the currently selected Skill by looking at the Skill section on the HUD.

Using Skills:

Players use Skills by clicking and releasing the right mouse button. Clicking the right mouse button will Prime the Skill for use. During this time, you can see the Area of Effect the Skill will target when used. You can also cancel a Skill during this time by pressing the “F” key. Each Skill in Smashmuck has its own Area of Effect that is displayed by a special stencil while the Skill is Primed.

Quick Cast:

Quick Cast is a special way to use skills for more hardcore gamers. When the Quick Cast checkbox is selected from the Controls Menu, all skills are used when the Number Key associated with the skill is pressed. The Skill takes effect at the location of the cursor the instant the key is pressed.
